Manual Osteopathy

Osteopathy is a natural medicine and science based on a holistic approach that treats the entire person. The principles of osteopathy are based upon the relationship between structure and function and a deep understanding of the connection between tissues, fluids and systems in the body.

Manual tests are used to find the cause of the problem. The manual osteopathic practitioner uses gentle, hands-on techniques aimed at resolving the issues at the source. Practitioners therapeutically touch and mobilize various body parts, while maintaining the modesty of the client.

Osteopathic treatments can reduce muscle, tendon, ligament and joint pain and dysfunction. Benefits include improved posture and joint mobility, circulation and neural function. These improvements in turn can benefit other body systems.

Reflexology

Reflexology is a natural healing therapy relating to the principle that there are reflecting zones on the hands, feet, face and ears corresponding to all the glands, organs and structures of the body. It is a gentle, non-invasive healing art and scientific touch therapy that promotes the body’s natural ability to repair what is disturbed.

Reflexology promotes integration of the body, mind and emotions. It relieves stress, which is the major contributing factor leading up to many diseases.

Reflexology is a safe, effective, drug free approach to health. It treats the whole person rather than just the symptoms.

Cosmetic Acupuncture

Cosmetic Acupuncture is an effective, non-surgical treatment to reduce the signs of aging. It involves the insertion of very thin disposable needles into the acupuncture points on the face and body.

This superficial insertion will increase the local circulation to the face and stimulate collagen production, which will fill out the lines and give firmness to the skin for a healthy, glowing complexion.

Cosmetic Acupuncture may take 5-15 years off the look of your face. It helps to eliminate fine lines and makes the deeper lines look softer. It can also help to minimize dark circles, puffy eyes, double chin, sagging skin, and drooping eyelids.

Acupuncture Detox

Ear acupuncture is useful because, like foot reflexology, the entire body is mapped on the ear. There are individual points that correspond to the lungs, liver and kidneys allowing the physiology of these organs to be affected by stimulating these specific points.

They are stimulated since these organs are usually the most heavily taxed. Additionally, these organs are major detoxification organs. The sooner they can clear the body of toxin residue, the sooner feelings of wellbeing and balance will occur.

Aromatherapy

Aromatherapy is the therapeutic use of plant derived aromatic essential oils to promote physical and psychological wellbeing.

Essential oils have three modes of action in how they interrelate with the human body: pharmacological, physiological and psychological.

The pharmacological effect is concerned with the chemical changes taking place when an essential oil enters the blood stream and the brain and reacts with hormones and enzymes.

The physiological mode is how the essential oil affects the systems of the body, whether they are sedated or stimulated. The psychological effect takes place in response to the smell of the essential oil with the memory/emotion part of the brain.
